Model 2470: Two-way thermostatic valve
2470 is a two-way temperature control valve with external temperature sensing that regulates or shuts off liquid flow. Depending on the connection, the valve can regulate either the felt medium or another liquid. The 2470 valve uses a highly reliable wax element encased in a bronze holder, which provides large valve travel with temperature changes. Opens when the temperature rises above the set point, and closes when the temperature falls. Due to the nitrile rubber valve seat, the unit (fully opened) can withstand 8.6 bar (125 psi) of water pressure without leaking. To achieve maximum service life from the temperature elements, the valve must not stand continuously at more than 30°C above the opening point. To achieve maximum service life from the temperature elements, the valve must not be continuously at more than 18°C above the opening point.
