Quality and environment

ISO 9001/14001

Ing. Westad AS is a small player that recognizes that our operations affect the environment.

For us, it is important to have an environmental management system that gives us control over our environmental aspects and to be able to minimize negative impact on the environment.

We must comply with both public and our own requirements regarding environment

We must have clear environmental targets based on risk analyses, and a program for following these up

We will work to continuously improve our environmental performance

We will work purposefully so that the industry and vessels we supply to will adopt the best solutions, including environmental ones

We take into account the life cycle perspective in purchasing and development for both use and resale

We must ensure that everyone in our organization knows our environmental ambitions and how our business works to control our environmental aspects

We actively communicate our environmental performance to the general public

It is also a goal for us to help our customers achieve their own environmental and quality goals: firstly, most of the products we supply are either components that themselves contribute to the correct operating temperature and thus lower emissions, systems that prevent fire and explosion – or instruments for quality and condition control. Secondly, by choosing quality at all stages, we contribute to less use and waste, fewer complaints with subsequent returns - and thus to slightly less freight transport on our roads. In this way, a small player can still have quite a big impact on the environment.
